About Robin
Robin Albright is an American artist living in southwestern Michigan. She is a curator of the space between the knowing and the unknown—where words are playful and less serious, and where stick people and found objects rule the world.

For her, creativity sparks somewhere between where traditional, boring notions make perfect sense and where one small crazy outburst of mind-blowing chaos lends itself to a celebration of thought and theory.

She sees art in everything and everywhere. She doesn’t see art as what lands above a sofa, but instead, an individual celebration of our collective soul-seeking purpose.

Robin’s Artist Statement I love the challenge of making something out of nothing. My medium can be any object I stumble across. I rework furniture, paint rocks, create videos & paint over old thrift-store canvases. I've written & illustrated a caregiver's book, created a tiny cardboard theater, painted bamboo sticks on the beach & continue to seek out what's next. I use acrylics, pen & ink, chalk, watercolor, Sharpies & my iPad for the most part, but I've also grabbed a can of opened house paint or concocted a berry paste. I brush, spray, sew, knit, knot, tie, bead, build, and string whatever possible. The end result is a quirky splash of creativity that speaks to our incredible character as human beings—the brilliance and flaws of who we are.

Bottom line, art is my orientation to reality. It is my grammar—and my physics—the exchange of energy that gets me through the day. Art changes lives.
